Wrapped Buildings is a personal photographic project by Max McClure.
The photographs present a series of city buildings wrapped up during varying stages of restoration. The project is both an open conversation about the extensive building projects that are currently going on across the city of Bristol, and a study of the intriguing appearance and presentation that these monuments take on during this particular process.
On its most immediate realisation, these restoration projects exacerbate the already severe traffic problems throughout the city, but in time will indeed breathe new life to many of the city's iconic historical buildings, many of which have sat derelict or decaying for many years. This also gives us a reflection of how the city's economy is thriving, in light of an uncertain future.
